OGF Camprofile gaskets have a solid metal core with concentrically serrated grooves machined into the top and bottom faces. The metal core is typically stainless steel but it can be supplied in various metallurgies as per the customer's request.
Camprofile gaskets are composite gaskets widely used in industries where pressure and temperature are crucial. Camprofile gasket in heat exchanger applications will ensure a reliable seal, from initial hydro test through difficult operating conditions. They are suitable for TEMA flanges. When required, pass partition ribs can be supplied in any configuration.
The wide seating stress range (minimum to maximum seating stress) of the camprofile gasket makes it:
Dependent upon the layer material camprofile gaskets can resist temperatures up to approx. 1000°C.
Camprofile cores are re-usable after cleaning, inspection (including profile tracing) and relayering with new sealing material. This is of particular interest in the case of costly heat exchanger gaskets (when using Monel® for instance, and other exotic materials).
